Description of the Ship:

The Pax class starships have a particularly specialized mission statement. To provide medical and extraction support to both the Rosebourg Royal Fleet as well as the Rosebourg Legionnaires.

The Rosebourg Monarchy, with the authorization of the Organization for Interstellar Peace, agreed to the usage of the Pax class platform in order to design a vessel that was characterized by a diversified medical and legionnaire platform that would allow it to act as a support vessel for legionnaire combat operations throughout the borders of the Rosebourg Monarchy.

Classified as a hospital ship, she carries all the rights of a medical ship, and she is not expected to directly involve herself in combat, her support crafts will carry the brunt of combat, but if necessary, she is an agile vessel, and an able medical ship.

Compartments: 2 - Legionaires Debriefing Room

Designed as a Legionnaires mission operations Center, the Legionnaires Debriefing Room is a characteristic which has rarely been added but has been incorporated into the design of certain battleships. Due to the designers of the Pax Class starship's interest in the designs, incorporation of the debriefing room designs were also incorporated.

The Legionnaires Debriefing Room, which is designed to be used by the Legionnaires complement of the Pax for mission briefings and debriefings, is intended to be used as a highly active room. Also used to analyse a Legionnaires' previous mission such as protocol review or success rates check the main room becomes a major requirement for Legionnaires Operations.

The Main Debriefing Room, which offers a theatre style central room capable of seating 100 people (enough for 5 divisions) inside a room, which has 50 chairs set in rows of 5 to one row. These 50/50 chairs combination is split in the middle by a walkway in which the Legionnaires head can use as an effective audience tool. In an isolated area of the Legionnaires Debriefing Room, a small room, which is used by the ship's home squadron, serves as the centrepiece of luxury granted to the Legionnaires.

This rather small room holds some experimental equipment to be used by the Legionnaires Staff, which also help to characterize it. An oval shaped table, which is able to seat 20 people, is placed in the center of the room; the design is based on the ideals of the Knights of the Round Table.

The aesthetics were chosen to be used to allow all Legionnaires of the Pax' home division to be able to see each other to provide peer-support during hard combat missions. The rooms chairs are leather with high backs, characterized by a rumoured great comfort.

Above the table in the ceiling is a simulation projector and when analysing a Legionnaires' mission, it can be used to program screen stills of objectives, and a visual playback of how a unit performed during debriefing. The projector is also used during briefing assignments to show strategic logistics prior to a mission.

Concluding, on the forward wall is a large screen, basically for used as a communications and/or additional computer display.

Med-Deck 1 is the general first aid area and administration center of the Medical department. Designed to provide quick and efficient classification of seriousness in the event of large numbers of patients coming it at the same time, Med-Deck 1 serves the purpose of organizing and keeping the rest of the Med-Decks organized. Equipped with some 500 bio-beds, almost half of the patient capacity lies on Med-Deck 1.


Section A: Infirmary

The infirmary is R.M.R.S. Pax's first aid station, when the medical staff is overbooked with patients, the Infirmary is used to take care of low priority patients and provide them with first aid care until a Doctor can get to them. Staffed by EMTs and headed by Nurses, the infirmary holds a number of 150 some biobeds and 250 additional movable bio beds, which can be moved in, in the event of large waves of patients.


Section B: Triage

The Triage center is the next step up from the Infirmary, designed to classify and send patients to the different Med-Decks, depending on the seriousness of their injuries or medical condition, the Triage center serves as the organization nerve center of all medical cases. Before a patient can be treated, he or she will most likely have to pass through Triage first. A Doctor who also has an efficient staff of nurses and other doctors to assist him/her in the classification process head this department.


Section C: Administration

Equipped with 40 small offices, and 10 larger offices for Department heads, the Administration center is designed as an office space for doctors to log in paperwork, duty and personal logs in an area, which is closer to their workplace than their quarters. Administration also has two conference rooms designed to be used when medical needs to meet to review mission guidelines, and to discuss general issues Medical needs to be made aware of.

Holding the primary medical facilities of the Medical department, Med-Deck 2 is the nerve center of all medical treatments. Containing the Main-Hospital facilities, scientifically guided Med-Lab 1, and the ICU center of Pax class ships, Med-Deck 2 was designed with key new engineering improvements towards the old standard designs used by starships.


Section A: Main Hospital

The Main Hospital, which is composed of the latest in medical technology is designed to provide medical attention to approximately 100 patients in an emergency situation, and around 25 in an ideal situation. Controlled by a very specialized medical crew, Pax class hospital designs follow new guidelines for medical hospitals aboard medical dedicated facilities.

A center circle that defines a very extensive medical treatment suite characterizes the Main Hospital. A glass wall surrounds the Medical suite, which is 4 meters away from the center of the circle. Behind the glass wall stand medical bio beds, which are evenly spaced and go all around the Main Hospital. These biobeds are standard examination bio beds and should not be used for surgery except under extreme circumstances in which the R.M.R.S. Pax's medical staff is overworked with patients.

There are two doors on either side of the circular Main Hospital, one leads to the turbolift and the other leads to a small office area. All in all, the Main Hospital has 20 regular bio beds, one single advanced treatment biobed in the center and 4 cryogenic facilities to keep serious patients in stasis until in between 5 regular biobeds.


Section B: ICU Center

This is designed as a long-term intensive care unit center. Containing 15-some life-supports units. The ICU Center is designed to take care of injuries which although have been taken care of temporarily, they are still in need of intensive life-support care. Staffed by nurses, and several coordinating Doctors, the ICU Center is one of the most advanced centers of this kind in the Rosebourg Fleet.


Section C: Med-Lab 1

As the primary Medical facility for conducting biological experiments, Med-Lab 1 is a medium sized laboratory designed to satisfy the needs of medical and science interconnectivity. The lab, which has rooms for certain kinds of experiments, controlled, or unstable, is suited to be the perfect Science-lab site inside the Med-Decks and is always known as a "Hard hat" area, in which science-protective gear is required before entering the Main Science lab.

For this reason, a small locker room is located left of the main entrance to the Science lab and is equipped with all the required protective gear. The lab also has the services required to serve as a containment site for biological specimens, and/or other specimens. This makes the Main-Lab 1 able to support Medical cryogenics operations if necessary.

To the central end of the Med-Lab 1, directly opposite the main entrance, there is a complex array of microscopes designed for investigations during epidemics. The array of microscopes is connected to a central computer, which updates itself every 24 hours on the latest Rosebourg medical discoveries.

Designed as the home of the surgical staff. Med-Deck 3 is a deck, which contains advanced surgical systems and suites as well as advanced treatment sites. Designed with low-capacity but specialized facilities, Med-Deck 3 is designed as an advanced supplement to Med-Deck 2, especially in cases where surgery inside the body needs to be done.


Section A: Surgical Ward

Similar in design to the Main Hospital, this is the nerve center of the surgical staff. Unlike the Main Hospital, however, all normal bio-beds have been substituted for more complex surgical bio-beds while the cryogenics bio-bed still remain. The design is an exact duplicate of Main-Hospital and is particularly well suited to the needs of the surgical staff


Section B: Post-Surgery Ward

Equipped with some 20 bio-beds, and counter-anesthetic systems, the Post-Surgery Ward is the room where nurses and doctors make observations pertaining to the success of the surgery. Through this room, successful surgeries get transferred to either ICU or Quarters, or they get sent back to the Surgical Ward.


Section C: Bio-Containment Center

The Bio-Containment Center is used only in emergency situations when a person has contracted a deadly disease, which is transmittable through regular means. With its own life-support system, and with level 8 quarantine fields always active around the walls and the doors, the Bio-Containment Center is the perfect facility to ensure quarantines do not become commonplace.

Designed with uncomfortable patients in mind, Med-Deck 4 has been designed with informality as a keyword in its construction. Using new engineering designs, which provide comfort and unprofessional medical facilities in mind, the home of the Mental Health division is, however, an advanced facility able to complement the counseling needs of the Mental Health staff.


Section A: Mental Health Conference Rooms

Split into group and individual conference rooms, with six of them in total. (4 individual rooms, and 2 groups) The Mental Health conference rooms are designed for 1 on 1, or 1 on larger group number discussions for counseling purposes only. With each having their own flair of design, the Mental Health conference rooms have all been designed with Rosebourg spiritual guidelines.


Section B: Medical Simulators

The Medical Simulator Room is a small-simulated environment used for advanced counseling patients in order to assist with the PRT therapy style introduced into Rosebourg medical treatments shortly following the commissioning of the first Pax class hospital ship.


Section C: Mental Health Ward

The Nerve center of the Mental Health installation, built in similar designs as the Administrations building, there are offices for each of the specialized psychiatrists and psychologists on Pax class starships and are designed for formal counseling, or schedule-taking. The Mental Health Ward also contains several mental-treatment facilities such as the psychoanalysis center, the psychotherapy center, amongst other facilities.

Med-Deck 5 is the location of almost all post-treatment facilities. Med-Deck 5 serves as the location where the miracles are told, the patients heal, and those who don't get their families told the bad news. A place designed to carry the brunt of the results of the work of the Medical Staff. Med-Deck 5 is located close to the Mental Health Ward in the event of a psychotic breakdown.

Following the general assortments aboard a non-combat Rosebourg fleet vessel, the R.M.R.S. Pax holds a Spartan number of science facilities, which culminate into the Main Science lab.

As the primary facility for conducting experiments and other science functions aboard this ship, the Main Science Lab is incredibly large designed to satisfy the needs of the various scientific fields.

The lab, which has rooms for certain kinds of experiments, controlled, or unstable, is suited to be the perfect Science-related lab site and is always known as a "Hard hat" area, in which science-protective gear is required before entering the Main Science lab.

For this reason, a small locker room is located left of the main entrance to the Science lab and is equipped with all the required protective gear.

The lab also has the services required to serve as a containment site for biological specimens, and/or other specimens. This makes the Main Science Lab able to support Medical cryogenics operations if necessary.

The office contains a console updated every 15 minutes on the status of the Science lab.

The science lab's walls are made of gray chrome, just like the rest of the ship, and so are the table tops, and floor.

The Lab also has a large storage area located in the left-hand side of the Science Lab in which equipment for experiments is readily available.
