Society

The Dietrans are very comfortable with their place as a minor player in the Dividian League and have replaced the tribal organization with the acceptance of Dividian rule. The Dividian Faith was never forced on (or perhaps better said offered to) the Dietrans and they have maintained the tribal deities though they are almost extinct with the introduction of technology to the planet. The Dividian local government structure is in place and The Dietrans will not rally against any of The Dividian Faith's pronouncements.

Biology

The inhabitants of this system resemble The Dividians of The Divid system however, they are darker skinned and a reddish colour. They live on the planet Dietras IV, considered by many to be an enigma, 80% Water 15% Desert and 5% temperate.

The Dietrans grow to approximately the same stature as The Dividians, but are considerably much shorter-lived living to 60 Terran Years to 75 Terran Years. They have very small underdeveloped ears and are next deaf, but have the same or perhaps better sense of scent as their Dividian cousins.

Competition with the Quitpoz

There are few mountains and the Dietrans developed out in the open. The primary species share the planet with a semi-intelligent plant called The Quitpoz, the plant is carnivorous but unlike the Acadanans does not have the ability to move, being rooted into the soil. It is pervasive and pernicious and grows very quickly.

Many of the young, the infirmed and elderly are lost to the planetary rivals. Only since their discovery by Dividian space explorers and the introduction herbicides, have the Dietrans been able to establish themselves as the dominant species on the planet.

Architecture

The design of the settlements are a central or common area where the population dwells and defensive rings going out, the first ring being commerce and tribal leadership, then food growing areas and then finally broad areas of land made barren to protect from The Quitpoz.
