Description of the Star System

The Narimbar system is the home of the Organisation of Interstellar Peace. Inhabited by the peaceful Architects (their actual name is unpronounceable), Narimbar holds both OIP HQ and Starport Nuribis, the largest trading station in the Known Galaxy. Narimbar's position at the centre of Known Space has made it a bustling hub and centre for space lanes and trading routes. There are five planets in the system, with Narimbar inhabiting the second planet and Nuribis a moon of the fourth.

Description of the Planet

Narimbar I is an uninhabitable tiny planet that orbits very close to the system's star. The planet has a high diamond content, with large veins running beneath the planet's surface.

With the light of the star reflecting off it, Narimbar I appears as a glittering jewel in the sky of the inhabited Narimbar II.

Description of the Planet

Forest home of the Architects and centre of the grand experiment of peace. Narimbar is a lush, green world over-flowing with trees and wildlife. Its urbanised areas are small, they take up as little of the landscape as possible.

Indeed, it is more common to find buildings at intervals in the trees, rather than find trees at intervals on the streets. Narimbar has two large oceans that comprise 52% of the planet and the moisture content of the air is high, leading to frequent precipitation.

O.I.P. Headquarters

Sprawled amongst the "Forest of Harmony" is the OIP Headquarters complex. Its crowning jewel, which can be seen for fifty kilometres in all directions is a large spire that reaches up in to the sky, the Organisation for Interstellar Peace's Assembly Halls. Made of reflective crystal, the spire shimmers in the sunlight. The Ambassadorial Complexes, however, are hidden amongst the trees, at the four sides of the building so that they form a square. Each complex has a landing pad of its own, but there is also one large communal landing pad that is suspended above the tree-tops.

Description of the Planet

Large, beautiful gas-giant of varying shades depending on which part of the surface is looked at. Narimbar IV is often described as "The Jewel of the Architect's Crown." It has a ring of asteroids, in which defence platforms for Nuribis Station are hidden.

Starport Nuribis

In 2460, The Organisation for Interstellar Peace celebrated the construction of Starport Nuribis, a neutral base near the edge of the Narimbar system. A small city was also built on the Moon which the Starport orbited, and it is from this Nuribis moon that the Starport gets its name. Nuribis orbits around Narimbar IV parallel to its rocky-rings.Starport Nuribis (the name given to the Starport and the moon combined) was the second of a series of Starports created by the Organisation for Interstellar Peace. The Starport's mission was from the onset to be an area of free-trade, where taxation and tariffs were non-existent. It was believed (rightly) that these ports could become commercial safe havens for the entrepreneurs of the galaxy. Within five years, Nuribis grew to become an important trading port as well as serving as the primary defence base for the Architect homeworld and the whole Narimbar system.
